An interactive weekly class with Hervé Cohen, an award winning filmmaker who will lead the students to the discovery of the various aspects of a movie and to explore an actor's career. The students will improve their undersanding of film making as well as their oral skills.

Rencontre littéraire avec Guillaume GUIRAUD, écrivain

Dans le cadre de CinéMagic, l'Alliance française accueille Guillaume GUERAUD, écrivain pour la jeunesse.

Guillaume Guéraud est né en 1972 à Bordeaux. Il a passé les vingt-cinq premières années de sa vie dans une cité de banlieue. Après avoir eu 03/20 au bac de français, il a travaillé comme journaliste en presse quotidienne régionale, mais s’est fait virer de partout grâce à son insolence. Il a commencé à écrire des romans en se retrouvant au chômage. Il continue parce qu’il aime ça et parce qu'il n'a rien trouvé de mieux à faire.

DISCOVER ARTISTS’ WORLD / BIENVENUE CHEZ LES ARTISTES - Next date: December 17

An interactive program of 10 sessions in French to meet and discover artists in their own workshops, in galleries or in private collections, under the leadership of Martine Buissart, museum curator, public collection curator and expert in contemporary art.

The group (10 to 15 participants) will meet at the Alliance Française or at on site - Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm.

Further to the intervention of Claude-Allemand Cosneau, Director of the FNAC (Fonds National d'Art Contemporain), on French public collections, this session will be devoted to an overview of public commissions of contemporary art in France. Art in public space, sponsors, artists and their projects, development works ...

Carol Haggiag by herself: My name is Carol Haggiag. I am French and have a passion for silver jewelry. I was born in Tunisia and moved at the age of ten with my family to Paris, France, where I spent my early years.
Although I am an academic with multiple degrees from La Sorbonne, including my Doctorate, I grew up soaking in French culture, the arts and much that Paris has to offer. In 1991, I moved to Miami where I now live and design jewelry much of which reflects my origins.
In Paris, art in all its form is ever present and always included in my life. Whether fashion, cinema, photography, or painting, art mediums have always interested me and surrounded my daily life.
After having worked for many years in the teaching field, I began my involvement with a number of film festivals and at the same time began working in different art media including glass, ceramics, paint, photography, etc. Through exploration, my passion for the arts led to working with silver and beads.
In my work, I attempt to create unique and original jewelry pieces that are a pleasure to wear. I am inspired by nature and every day life. Classic elegance, ethnic, contemporary as well as avant-garde design elements make this multi genre work unique.

A big chocolate-pastry Chef, Georges Berger (Chocolate Fashion), will demonstrate Croquembouche and we will share his passion for chocolate and pastry.

You will also have the opportunity to discover the chocolates, sweets, desserts and cakes of Chocolate Fashion (Coral Gables) and you can buy for Christmas.

The evening will continue, hosted by Tangi Colombel, with music and song while sipping the sweet dishes / salty cakes prepared by George Berger accompanied by wine (sold on site).
